A dialogue between female composers and female poets.
Produced as a commission for the Schumannfest in Bonn 2019.
The creative woman, whether poet or composer, was a pioneer in earlier epochs and into the 20th century: as a lone fighter, each had to make her own way through the jungle of male prejudices if she wanted to assert herself with her artistic work. The sisters Liv and Nadia Migdal enter a dialogue of music and words with violin and language, giving a voice to the partly forgotten and much too little noticed female artists on their journey through history - from early baroque to modern times.

Nadia Migdal and Gina Haller playfully take the audience on a pilgrimage to the liquid core of the individual in a public dissection of their own and others' identities. A path that leads from the personal to the universal and deals with the creation of the I-religion.

Some time ago in my parents' living room I heard the voice of my late grandfather. They were tape recordings that served my mother as material for a novel. After this discovery, I set off for traces in the lives of my grandparents and in my own memories.
